Sarah Hancock

Assistant Principal and SENDCO

After time working with primary school children, I decided I wanted to work with older students and enthuse them about my subject.  I am a teacher of English (and now I deliver ASDAN too) and it was my favourite subject at school: I loved reading growing up and would read everything from Herge’s Tintin to Smash Hits magazine!

Now I also teach ASDAN which supports students with additional needs in gaining a range of qualifications in subjects that they enjoy from Local History to Animal Care. This is something I care hugely about as I firmly believe that all students deserve to have an education that caters for their needs and develops the whole child, enables them to enjoy school, and to feel like a part of our community.

Outside of school I love walking and being outdoors.  I am also very creative and love cooking, music and art!

I have two furbabies (who all the students know by name I talk about them so much) Watson and Frank: two very cheeky Border Terriers!
