At Haywood Academy we love to give out rewards to our students!

We offer a range of ways that students can be recognised for the amazing things they do every day.

Some of our rewards include:

Being awarded positive points on ClassCharts for their hard work, community spirit and effort for classwork and homework, as well as being given a “Golden Ticket” for being the star of the lesson. Students can save these positive points up and spend them on a variety of treats.

We are committed to ensuring our students are exceptional attenders and, through our Performance Leaders and Year Teams, we regularly enter students into prize draws for high attendance to school, and also ensure that those students who attend school and have amazing ClassCharts points are eligible for special treats, events and experiences such as our Spring Bounce, Silent Discos and other half termly treats!

We have regular Nominations for our Principal’s Awards for which student’s receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award certificate from Mrs Mills and a photograph posted to our social media accounts to celebrate excellent achievements both in and out of the classroom. In addition to this, every year we have a select number of students who are awarded a CEO Award to honour exceptional students who have demonstrated our core values in abundance.

Our students have also had many opportunities over the years to attend reward trips based on effort and achievement to places such as Alton Towers, the Trafford Centre, and Team Building at the YMCA.

Individual achievement within subjects is an area we love to reward students also. We have termly Awards Assemblies to recognise excellence within each subject students study to show how impressed their teachers have been with their conduct and progress, and to show our students that hard work and dreaming big really does matter.
