A group of students from Haywood joined others from the City Learning Trust to travel to Iceland to explore ideas surrounding sustainability and climate change as part of the Character and Arts Foundation.

The selected students had to submit an application letter and complete and interview with a presentation on why they care passionately about sustainability and why they would be an ideal candidate to represent Haywood Academy.

They had a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience and have brought back some wonderful memories, as well as some ideas for how we can become more sustainable.
