Staff do all they can to support pupils and their families to overcome any challenges. Not only do we have excellent relationships between our teaching staff, children and their parents\/carers we also have a Welfare, Inclusion and SEND Hub based at the Academy.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following procedures are part of our standard safeguarding roles &amp; responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Children know who they can talk to if they have a concern<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All staff complete the Safeguarding Level 1 training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safeguarding practices and procedures are included in the induction process for new members of staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recruitment of new staff is led by a member of staff trained in Safer Recruitment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a safeguarding link governor who regularly monitors safeguarding procedures and internal practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All staff are trained and confident in using our Safeguarding software to report concerns&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteers, supply staff and visitors to Haywood Academy are introduced to our safeguarding expectations and procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We work closely to support all other agencies working with our children and families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The safeguarding team can be contacted via email chazel@clt.haywood.coop, jjones18@clt.haywood.coop or cryder@clt.haywood.coop.
